Shawn A. Sabau is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and financial advisor with the Private Client Group of City Securities Corporation. Shawn has over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in investment management, municipal bonds, retirement planning, estate planning, and tax-efficient investing. Shawn has completed advanced training in financial planning earning the CFP® certification.
Shawn’s portfolio management process consists of a thorough and continuous understanding of each client’s goals, objectives, and risk tolerance levels. Through his diligent work ethic, Shawn helps his clients move toward their financial goals by assisting them in developing sound investment strategies. These strategies are then monitored and updated on a regular basis.
Shawn is a life-long resident of Crown Point, Indiana, and graduated from Purdue University Calumet with a bachelor’s degree. In addition to his CFP® certification, Shawn holds FINRA Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 securities licenses, as well as his Indiana insurance license. Shawn is a member of the Minas Sabau Group, which is comprised of six securities representatives with over 95 years of combined experience in the financial services industry. Shawn and his wife Stefanie have two children. Shawn enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
