Joseph B. Garrett is a Vice President and Financial Advisor with the Private Client Group of City Securities Corporation. He has been a Financial Advisor with City Securities for over 34 years. Mr. Garrett provides investment management services to a variety of individuals and institutions. He utilizes individual stocks, bonds, mutual funds, as well as other investments with an emphasis on value and tax-efficiency. Mr. Garrett has particular experience and specialization in Indiana bank stocks and tax-free municipal bonds.
Mr. Garrett’s investment management process includes assessing and understanding each client’s goals, objectives, and risk tolerance levels, with retirement planning and estate planning as an important part of that assessment. In addition to his many years of experience, Mr. Garrett looks forward to serving clients well into the future.
Mr. Garrett graduated from Purdue University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management. He holds the FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses. Mr. Garrett is a member of South Bend Rotary Club and is president of the Scholarship Foundation of St. Joseph County. He has been married for 33 years and has 3 children. Mr. Garrett has enjoyed playing several sports and still competes in amateur tennis competitions.
